I.XXIX.XVII. The Lotus

I had both "The Lotus" and "The Lilypad" on my list of illustrations and I knew I wanted a frog for the figure.

On publishing this drawing on Facebook, my lifelong friend Lily christened the frog "Lola." So she shall be forever.
