The Apocalypse of Minerva

I've been having something of a creative lapse lately. In my life I've either been an artist or a writer, but seldom both at the same time. I feel the Muses shuffling from foot to foot. I think they're about to switch chairs.

In 2002 I started writing a novel. In 2003, I stopped writing. I'd achieved the goal I set out to, but new threads had developed in that organic way that can happen when an author's story starts telling itself. Part of the storytelling involved moving 11 years ahead in the timeline. It's been 11 years in real time and I'm feeling the nudge to revisit those characters.

This urge prompted a poster. I don't know if the idea will bear fruit, but it's what's on my mind right now.

I'm also trying to prove that this blog is not dead. Not yet, anyway.
